Looks like you had some major flooding in your area, Ann.  The road has disappeared.  That home off in the distance looks like it may be underwater as well.  If I remember right you had some really bad floods in the 90's.  Stay dry!

Bruce,

This is the second time this year the road has disappeared.  It was closed for 3 days this time.  And you are correct in 1994 we had MAJOR flooding on the big rivers.  This river is relatively small but still inconvenient when the water covers the road...

Thanks for stopping by,

Ann

St. Louis is a great city, Ann.  My wife's older sister lives just south in Jefferson County and they really love it there.  I always loved coming over for the VP Fair and the airshow around the 4th of July.  It is truly amazing down at the Arch with all those people.  A visit to Ted Drews(sp?) was always great as well.

Good luck and success.

Bruce,

Yes, St. Louis is a great place to visit and to live....  We have lots of cool stuff here.... including too much water at times!

Lou,

I seriously think I would have needed a boat to get to the other side.  At this point, the water was VERY deep.

Debra,

I live over the hill....  It is very bad when the road closes and you have to drive another 10 miles to town...
