Thanks for reminding me that "its that time of year again" - with the warmer than usual temperatures in Tucson, I haven't gotten that Fall Feeling yet...and hunting season completely slipped my mind!
Its always a pleasure to have you stop by to visit, and to read and write a reply to the comments you leave, on the blog posts. Here at my little ole Blogging Homestead, my friend
Your welcome! I've been out scouting the last couple of days. Got my 50 cal. Missouri River Hawken's all ready to go, along with two of my 44 cal. cap and ball six shoot's. Seeing that the Bears ain't a sleep yet.
Wow Dale! I feel like I'm living in a cocoon. Deer hunting is totally alien to me! I have yet to even see a moose (and I have been to NH and VT and Maine! Good luck (I think:)
Dale do you expect a good deer season this year up in your area? We haven't gotten any cold weather yet down south so imagine it will be awhile; just doesn't seem like hunting season when it is 80 degrees outside.
Howdy there Karen, Carl and Ceil Its a pleasure to have y'all stop by to sit and visit for a bit on thisNew Hampshire Deer Hunting Series Part One of Twoblog post, here at my little ole Blogging Homestead, my friends
Karen - there is know reason, to feel as if your liven in a cocoon. lol, theres alot of folks that don't understand Deer hunting, or any other kind of hunting. I've been real lucky in the ten years that I've lived here in New Hampshire now, I've gotten to see 15 Moose. I know folks that have lived here all their life, that have not see a Moose in the wild. One really big thing to remember about a Moose, if you see one on a road or on the side of a road, do not blow your horn at it. They get real upset about that, and will come after your vehicle.
Carl - just got back from scoutten two other areas, the main areas that I'll be hunting in are just right down the road from the house, about 15 min. away.We should see increased Deer numbers and harvestthis year. Part of it is due to the Deer doing will last winter, and because this is an odd number year. They are calling for us to have a 60 degree day tomorrow.
In some counties in Texas you can shoot 3 bucks and 2 doe. Our area is way out of wack so this year the biologist said shoot only 1 buck an 10 doe on our family ranch.

Here in New Hampshire you are only aloud to take one Deer with a firearm, when folks buy their hunting licensing your Deer tag comes with it. You want to go during Muzzleloader, you go to buy it, and they stamp your tag as a Muzzleoader tag. So you end up paying for that tag twice. And you can't go during regular firearm's season. I found that out the hard way, my first year here. So now I go during regular firearm season and use my Muzzleloader.
Wanted to stop back by and see if you had anymore comments. Are you into archery? I think we talked about it last season but I don't remember for sure. Let me know when you get that big'em.
Its always a real pleasure to have you revisit, and to read and write a reply to your comment. On any one of the blog posts, here at my little ole Blogging Homestead, my friends Sure am a Bow Hunter, have taken a Deer from 5 yards with my bow. I'll be sure to let ya know when I take a Deer. I'll be going out tomorrow, didn't go today.
