A Red Hook NY Sunset

This evening while running an errand I came across a beautiful scene.  It was just about the time when the sun was setting; I was just going by an open field in Red Hook when I noticed the the colors in the sky and that big ball of fire.  At that point I just had to pull over and get my camera out;  and I was glad I did because this was truly a magnificent scene.

Wow...that sun was awesome all the way to Colorado too! We had a fire in the sky sunset and I didn't have my camera. :-( .... My daughter did...so I'll get her to email the pic so I can post for everyone. Good job carrying the camera!

Jennifer, how beautiful, glad you had that camera with you. I went out yesterday and left mine sitting on the counter when I ran across "The Ship of Fools", glad my Blackberry takes decent pictures, LOL.

Have a wonderful day!

Jennifer - I love the luminosity of the sky and clouds!  What kind of camera are you using?

Lynda - It was great to see in person.

Janna - I agree.  A camera is a must have at all times.

Shirley it was spectacular.  I am glad your daughter was able to capture it.

Ginger - I did get several shots.  I was amazing driving down this farm road and looking at the ball of fire straight ahead.

Tim - You are very welcome.

Andrea It is hard to believe that you left your camera but the camera phone does work in a pinch.  You did get a good shot of the Ship of fools.

Judy it was a great way to spend my day.

Mryl - I agree.  My camera is the Kodak Easy Share V570.  This takes really nice wide angle shots.

Nice photo. I don't know what luminosity means (Myrl's comment) but I know pretty and it was!

Hi Jennifer - great capture. What's a blogger without the camera close by always waiting for one of those magical moments, eh?
