A Red Hook NY Sunset

This evening while running an errand I came across a beautiful scene. It was just about the time when the sun was setting; I was just going by an open field in Red Hook when I noticed the the colors in the sky and that big ball of fire. At that point I just had to pull over and get my camera out; and I was glad I did because this was truly a magnificent scene.

Fabulous shot!

I always try to have my camera with me, so many great photos that would be missed otherwise!

Wow...that sun was awesome all the way to Colorado too! We had a fire in the sky sunset and I didn't have my camera. :-( .... My daughter did...so I'll get her to email the pic so I can post for everyone. Good job carrying the camera!

Ginger - I did get several shots. I was amazing driving down this farm road and looking at the ball of fire straight ahead.

Andrea It is hard to believe that you left your camera but the camera phone does work in a pinch. You did get a good shot of the Ship of fools.

Mryl - I agree. My camera is the Kodak Easy Share V570. This takes really nice wide angle shots.

Nice photo. I don't know what luminosity means (Myrl's comment) but I know pretty and it was!
