Earlier this week I wrote about the point driven AR junkie (nothing wrong with that) who is diligent and makes their 10 comments a day and 10 posts per week...

Just how many points can they earn in a year?

There were 3 choices.

The reason for the post is that I've seen a few members surge well beyond the maximum awardable points by AR and simply wondered 1) How they manged to beat the system?  2) Is that a character trait...a win at any cost mentality? and  3) Why hasn't the fairly good customer service technical staff discovered the highly unusual accumulation of points in a relatively short period of time by system abusers?

I find AR a great platform for sharing ideas, systems and referrals.  I hurts me to see that a few people choose it to drive their ego rather than see it as another community they can thrive in by being creative and ethical.

Thank you for making me Your Orange County Real Estate Connection.

Michael I just did the math and without re-blog points, invite points, and contest points a member can reach 208000 points in a year. I find it hard to believe that anyone here is managing to beat the system.

I hope there is more to the posting than just an accumulation ofpoints.  Points don't put bread on the table. Real contacts and referrals do.  Usde your time and oints wisely.

Hmmm..... That's 100 for you and 25 for me.   :)

That moves me from 4th to 3rd position in my chosen Neighborhood.  Hoo Rah!

Interesting post, BTW

I love posting. I also love to comment. Unfortunately it comes in spurts. Lots of activity followed by what do I say-Dinah Lee

Hi Michael ~ I have a vague memory of there being a glitch in how many points you could get for reblogging. I thought I read at the time that it had been fixed. I was reminded of it when I came across a blog that had accumulated an inordinate amount of points in a short period of time by vast amounts of reblogging.  Seems pointless (ha!) to me.

I'm not too sure, but here are 4 more.  Thanks for asking the question.

Posting and commenting certainly are the only points.  If you invite others and they get active you share 10% of there points.  There is one member that has over 100,000 points primarily all from invite points.  Inviting new members is great but posting and commenting is where the real benefits can come over time.

I've been very lucky to get some crazy points with challenges and contests.  I find it very difficult to get five posts written in a week, never mind ten!
