I am getting OLD and Boring and spent my Saturday evening watching Congress on C-Span.....

I am so glad I did......But in doing so I needed to have a little fun on Monday!!!

Here are a few of the highlights from a battle well fought by the American People.

The Pelosi Bill Was Rammed Through on Saturday, But Sunday's Coming by Sarah Palin

"Those of us who love freedom and believe in open and transparent government can only be dismayed by midnight action on a Saturday. Speaker Pelosi's promise that Americans would have 72 hours to read the final bill before the vote was just another one of the D.C. establishment's too-common political ploys. It's broken promises like this that turn people off to politics and leave them disillusioned about the future of their country."

Now my friends what are you going to do to fight for Life, Liberty and the Persuit of Happiness.

Notice when Pence is speaking the overweight, red faced, sweating guy and the guy next to him don't ever stop chatting with each other? I don't know who they are and don't care, that is just rude.

Alice, thank you for the post. Common sense, let's use it.

The front page of our local paper this morning had another article about how social security and medicare are going bankrupt and how pension funds could send local governments the way of GM and Chrysler. Washington just doesn't get it.

I must confess, I did the same thing last Saturday, and I haven't watched CSPAN in months...!!! I think it may not have been an accident that this hot topic was debated on Saturday evening. It seems as though Congress considers all of us as stupid dumb puppets who don't deserve to know what they're up to...!!! Thanks, Fran

No you aren't. You are getting informed. Something more folks should do. Whereas I feel like I am getting downright grumpy. : (
