I thought it would be interesting to see who voted which way in Nancy Pelosi's sneaky Saturday night vote in Congress. And don't forget - Pelosi broke a huge promise after she failed to publish the Bill on line 72 hours before a vote.

A "yes" vote is a vote to pass the bill.

Voting yes were 219 Democrats and 1 Republican.

Voting no were 39 Democrats and 176 Republicans.

X denotes those not voting.

Present denotes those who voted they were "present" at the time of the vote but did not vote yes or no on the issue.

I watched and was not surprised - although the defecting Republican did it for re-election (look at the district). What amazes me is the media states it was such an overwhelming endorsement of the President! I guess a 7-5 split on a jury is overwhelming endorsement for a criminal

Simon - this is one instance where every vote counted.  Too bad we don't have a list of those who will be depositing a big fat check from the insurance company lobbyists in the next week or two.  I could really get on a rant here, but I'll hold off.  I'm trying to make this a great day.  :)

Bad news for most of us who work hard. Now w  all must communicate to our Senators on this.

Simon - are you surprised at the broken promise? She has broken them ever since she became speaker. And not only do we not know all that is in the bill, we don't know what is in the ammendments.

Thanks for posting this.  Glad my rep Kosmas voted NO.  At least she had some guts to stand against her party.  No surprise on many of the others.

Can't get much more partisan than that...can it.

I thought Texas had it's act together but I'm embarrassed to learn how many TEXAS reps voted for this.    Maybe Rick Perry wasn't too far off when he alluded to succession as this surrender of freedom can not end well with anyone other than those who are on the take.

Lina: The congresscritters getting the big fat checks from the insurance indusrty and big phama were the ones voting NO. This will come into sharper focus when the Senate comes into play. Watch LIEberman, mr Aetna himself.

This is a watered down bill. I ope the Senate takes this bill further and puts a STRONG public option in place.

Ron: Please explain "surrendering freedom" as it pertains to this bill.

Guess it's time to build more jailhouses.  They'll be overflowing soon with 34 million uninsured.

It will be interesting to find out what Pelosi was/is hiding from the American People on this Saturday evening vote.  What are the last minute admendments to this bill.  Freedom is adbused  again by the congressional dicator Pelosi.  Why is she so scared of debate, why hide behind the veil of time, why not debate the issue in an election year. I will tell you why, the polls show the American people are not in favor of this garbage.

It's time for Congress to hammer out a solution that works for America, not to support more Government and special interest.

Simon,  Thanks for posting the count.  I intend to write to everyone in Pa who voted in favor of the bill to inform them I will be working to see them ousted in 2010.

Good work Simon. Our CA reps voted right down the party split. At least we didn't have any defectors on this one like we did on Crap & Trade.

I must have missed it, who is the RINO and who wants to go RINO hunting?  It appears Barak Obama got Bipartisanship; in opposition to his goals.

Let's see what happens in the Senate?  Will they take the Nuclear Option to get it passed?  Even if this thing is "passed" the battle goes on.  They have 2-3 years of taxes to collect before it goes into effect in addition to the expiration of the Bush tax cuts, rising unemployment, the war is starting to go bad due to lack of Presidential know how and support, enemies all around us are going nuclear, the government is taking control of private industry, government is controlling the housing market through the banks, Texas did threaten to leave the Union over National Health Care, and Freedom is under assault on all fronts.

Live Free or Die!

Looks Like California went right down the party line

This really bites...

Congratulations to Massachusetts. Our entire delegation voted in favor of this bill.

4:17pm • #15

Interesting, and not too surprising, that Gene is right - there's undeniably more bipartisanship in opposition to this than in support of it.  And that fits with the bipartisan majority opposition of the electorate leading up to it.

I say, "fire them all" - Glenn Beck could find enough "exceptional" individuals to respect our "Constitution" and to SAVE US ALL...

This bill, if you will (crap is what I would call it as an ex-professional medical professional), should have gone to the shredder along time ago.

And by the way, Anyone know how much Pelosi had to pay out to get this "crap" passed?

Karen: Agreed. Fire all the spineless republicans who allow their special interests to keep millions from health care.
