This is just a few of the buses lined up outside George Washington's Mount Vernon estate yesterday. With beautiful fall weather visitors from around the world come to take in the views of the Potomac River from the back porch and see how life was back in the 1700's in Virginia. If you are coming to the DC area for a visit make sure you put Mount Vernon on your list of places to visit. These folks did!

Yikes Cindy! That's a lot of buses for sure. Good luck finding the right one.

Good grief! I never realized you guys had that many visitors! I'll bet you just love all those buses in traffic!

Cindy, today is going to be another nice day. There should be a lot of people visiting Mt. Vernon again. Well worth the visit.

Cindy: I saw a most bizzare sight last night. A tour bus like one of these, pulling up in front of Micro Center in Fairfax. All the people on the buse shuffled out and into the store. I still don't get it.

It is a bad dream of mine that I go out and can't remember which is my bus nor the people I was on the bus with.

LOL, I have had those moments in parking lots and garages too. I bet it was a beautiful trip this time of year.

Kevin-I was surprised to see this many buses in November visiting Mount Vernon.

Bob-and my photo doesn't show all of them! Oh the buses are just part of what we deal with living in a place with so much history.

Michael-it should be on the must see list for anyone living in or visiting the DC area.

Chris Ann-Micro Center must have been a great deal on Vista 7 :-) That is odd if you had said Potomac Mills Mall I would have understood.

I've had that same fear over the years :-)

Mike-I recently bought a new car and I've just gotten used to looking for it instead of my old one. We have been fortunate to have some great fall weather.

Toula-certainly if you aren't paying attention you could end up on the wrong bus.

Bob & Carol-I've often wondered about just going to the airport looking at the departure board and just buying a ticket to anywhere for fun. Guess I could just sneak on one of these buses instead.

Hi Cindy. You know I've driven by there a thousand times and marveled at those lines of buses but ironically after living here over 50 years I have never visited Mount Vernon!

OK, so you got me thinking, I will have to visit with my wife on a Saturday afternoon sometime soon. Thanks for the "push".

Wow, that's a lot of buses! I would absolutely have to write down the number of my bus if I was there. Looks like a fun time, though.

Carra-with the perfect weather we had this weekend everyone who stopped by Mount Vernon should have enjoyed themselves.
