I finally cracked yesterday and set up a Facebook account. I was going through my old photos to populate my wall with them, and found these. The first one seemed appropriate for today. It's a roadside shrine in the mountains of Crete. I had a great vacation in Crete and would like to go back some day and explore further.

Gorgeous! Wish I was in Crete. Lucky!

What beautiful photos! I have never been on holiday to crete, but it sure seems amazing. Holidays are such a great way to escape, yet we are so fortunate to be able to take pictures so when we are back in reality we can still go back to the lovely destination we were forced to leave!

I hope you'll remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!

Robin, how beautiful! The first one is so neat -- like someone was living there at some point!!!

Great shots - and I am sure some great memories too

Robin, those are wonderful photos. Did you take the hike throught the canyon? I was there in 1984 before it got too touristy and had the best time.

What a great vacation that must have been. I really hope we get to visit places like this while we can still do all the walking and exploring. Thanks for sharing.

These were great photo's Robin. Lucky you! I agree with Lee and Carol we hope one day to be able to travel and see some interesting places.

Thanks, everybody! The people in Crete were so fun and welcoming, and the food was delicious, of course! I have a couple more photos to post soon.

I love that bridge. I'd love to visit other parts of the world but I'm too afraid to leave the United States. Who would stay here to take care of Zoey the Cool Cat? LOL
