Gig Harbor Turkey Trot

Every year Holmes Chiropractic in Gig Harbor, WA sponsors the Gig Harbor Turkey Trot 5K/10K to benefit Gig Harbor FISH Food Bank on Thursday, November 26, 2009 in historic downtown Gig Harbor, WA.

The Gig Harbor Turkey Trot raises money and food items for the 501(c)3 Peninsula FISH food Bank, an all volunteer organization that helps families around the Peninsula Region.

Registration for the run, which begins at 8a.m. is $15 plus two cans of food. Registration can be made by going to http://www.active.com or in person at Route 16 Running, 6745 Kimball Drive in Gig Harbor.

Day of check in will be at the Gig Harbor Post Office, but the start line this year will be on Harborview Drive at Skansie Brothers Park.

First of all, what a wonderful picture. Secondly... I love turkey trots. They are a great way to get people to get out of their houses and be active around Thanksgiving!

I hope you'll remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!
