How many SHOPPING days before Christmas? I am rethinking new way shop make a contribution to many families in need.

We hear many families are selling their personal items just survive, pay utility bill, or just have food on the table.

This year I will shop for Christmas searching on Craig's list OR resale outliet stores who support shelters where I can make a contribution back to many families, Yes the items may not be new I intend include a note in my recipients gift(s) purchased from a family in need of money.

YES... retailers need us purchase however this year I will support many families in need of money.

While it's possbile that buying on Craigslist may be purchasing from a family in need, I don't "get" the connection to Goodwill. I thought they existed to provide job training for hard to place employees. Guess I have something to learn here.

Vickie, there are Goodwill stores "catch term " who support family shelters for others in need. THANK YOU FOR COMMENT I returned blog posts placed stores who services these locations. We have them here in Dallas many I contribute monthly ... items could be resold for financial contributions for these families.

Lyn...my wife and I have adopted a family every Cristmas for 8 years now. We buy everyone gifts of essential things and one 'luxury' item. Looking forward to this years family.
