This is a picture that my brother just took in his back yard in Arizona. It is almost as if the Hawk was posing for him :)

That's either the coolest picture of a hawk ever, or a really good stuffed toy!

I love the one legged perched view. How cool is that?

Looks like the hawk is waving. What a great photo. It is truly amazing and I am almost speechless.

Dena, it is real, but knowing my brother, maybe, just maybe ............... :)

Larry, he took several pictures, but I liked this one because of just what you mentioned.

Joan now that you mention it, it does look like he is waving.

Marchel, no his back yard is not very big, that is why he was able to get such a close shot.

Bill yes we do and I posted a picture of one earlier this year, but I could not get as close and the picture was not as good as this one.

Diane, sounds like you really know your birds ........... LOL

Debbie, I have never been out to see him since he moved out there. He use to come back to see the whole family once a year, but now that my Mon and Dad are gone he will not be doing that, so maybe it is time that I vist, and if I do maybe a trip to Utah could be planned as well.

Ann, he works for the DMV, but some people might say that he is a little bit of a bird ........ LOL

George, even in nature there's a little ham within the birds, notice the lifted leg for artistic pleasure. Thanks for sharing.

George awesome shot. It is as if the hawk knew he was being photographed and was loving it.

Valerie, he is real. My brother took a lot of other pictures of him, but this was the one I liked best.

Ann, yes I would be. There is exactly 10 years between me and my brother. We were both born on the same day, 10 years apart.

Bill yes they do. He sends me Christmas pictures of him standing in his front yard in shorts next to a decorated cactus :)

George, I am just catching up, this is one cool photo. That bird certainly was posing, LOL. How great!

Oh, and I hope your brother gets pricked by a cactus when putting the Christmas lights on one, LOL. Sorry, but to rub it in like that....

I did live in AZ and loved it, so I shouldn't have said that, but....

On the path that I drive from Idabel to Hugo several times a week, there is always an owl that sits on an electric pole watching the traffic go by.... or at least I thought it was an owl, now that I look at your photo, maybe it's a hawk! Especially since owls are nocturnal.

It's one of those really tall big poles and I don't have a clear view of him.
