What an Incredible picture!  Did you take it yourself?  I just took my first Moon picture and I found it very difficult.

It was very difficult, Marchel!  My husband actually took this one, but I had posted one on my blog last month that I took and it took me about 80 shots to get a good one!  It's hard to catch the moon's "good side" I guess!  =)

Sincerely,

Kathleen

Kathleen, that is an amazing shot.  The sky was so clear the other night and the moon so bright.  It really was an amazing site.

We have been having a lot of clear, picture perfect nights with large & bright moons.  Not sure what it is, but we're enjoying them!  =)

Wow, Kathleen - that REALLY is a Speechless shot!  Absolutely beautiful!  I have tried time and time again and can just never seem to get a great shot of the moon!

Kathleen - Nice photo.  I agree, it's not easy to get a good shot of the moon.  They either come out super dark or just a blob on light in the middle of a photo.  Congratulations to your husband for capturing it so well.  I love that you can't see the whole tree, but have a hint that it's there.

Thanks Kate!

Leesa - It's so difficult! I tried forever one night until James came out and started messing with the camera settings, then he figured it out to a science! =)

Hi Matt - I love that too!  The moon is so beautiful out here, it's awesome to be able to capture even part of it's beauty to preserve it.

Thanks Caron!

Hi Anthony,

Sorry for the late response, I think the comments here got buried until I got a new one this morning.  We have a Panasonic Lumix model DMC-TZ5.  It takes wide angle pictures and has a ton of settings, he's not sure which he was using.  I took some night shots last night in a neighborhood out here that came out good, I used the starry night setting with no flash.  Gave it a nice illuminating effect.

Thanks Mom!  I agree!

Hi Matt - You certainly can...LOL
