Love the little boy in the middle with devil horns over the little girl.
Gee, kids are kids. Great shot Linda. Have a blessed week.
Hi Friends ~ So good to hear from you and thanks for your positive comments. These kids have been through a lot, most have cancer. The signs of chemo are evident yet their smiles light up the room.
This was a special day in the play room, they had a visit from the "Angel" girls from the L.A. Angles of Anaheim ball team. They pay regular visits to these kids and autograph hats for them. CHOC, Children's Hospital of Orange is one very amazing place where miracles happen, I've seen them personally. They aso treat children regardless of their ability to pay.
All who work here and support this wonderful facility have my undying admiration.
That's a great photo. And I just read your comment. They treat children, even if they can't pay? Now that's how everything should be!
There is something soooooo wrong about kids with cancer. We can learn so much from these courageous little ones. Good thoughts heading your way Lynda. =)
This is something that is impressive about most children's hospitals, they don't discriminate against anyone based on if they can afford it or not or if they have insurance. Everyone is treated the same, people just want to help these kids try to have a normal life as possible. My sister in law works as a nurse in a childrens hospital here in the Portland area and then goes home to be a foster parent for the kids no one else will take. I really don't know how she does it, but her and my brother really are saints!
Lynda nice shot. Their smile really brighten up a room. I agree that the people who work under these circumstances are really precious and deserving of our praise.
Lunda It just proves you can't keep kids down and a caring staff can bring out the best smiles
Lynda
This photo makes me feel good just looking at it. Life is an adventure!
Lynda--What a great place for the kids! When life is giving them so much to deal with, they are being given reasons to smile and be kids. Thanks for sharing!
Lynda - what a nice photo and thanks for sharing. I appreciate their smiles of hope, they have been through lots, and I love their inspiration.
I so enjoyed seeing you again at REBar and look forward to seeing you again soon. I appreciate your very nice comment you wrote on my blog!
What a beautiful picture. I love the fact that it doesn't matter either if they have insurance or not or if they can pay or not. I wish there were more places like that out there.
Hi Friends,
Thanks so much for the visit, CHOC in Orange Co. CA is one amazing place. It was a real eye opener for me to spend so much time there. Just seeing those kids in the playroom and what they go though is so uplifting.
Just read your previous post about your family's own experience with CHOC. I'm sure your little one's success made this day even sweeter!
