Dawn York Pennsylvania here !
You had me at 82... Wow! I really do need to get off my butt. I am inspired, thanks for the info.
Dawn :)
I'm about 25 years younger than this woman and sometimes I can barely get through my run (after being a runner for over 30 years.) She's inspired me to keep going!
Bruce and Sandy--we'll feel so much better!!!
Dawn, I wish I was your age again!!!
Maragaret--And Margaret, you're way younger than I
Shin splints were the plague for me from 2004 til 2009--barely able to run, no fun and just pain...two things I did: went to Phsycial therapist--they figured things out, taught me how stretching is suppose to be done, gave me a 90 degree incline board to stretch calf muscles--and, I learned to run on the balls of my feet--it's called the POSE method. It works! if you're curious, here's the website--if neither of these aren't it
Thanks to all for the comments...now, get out there...
Wow. That is definitely motivating. My pastor just ran a 5k and was passed by several people older than he is. It has made him change his workout philosophy.
Hey Darrell, good for your pastor--"you gotta be in the race to win the prize"...now how bout you?
