Helping Hand Having A Happy Home For The Holidays.

Everyone wants family traditions, their own roof laughing horseoverhead, a place to call home. Buying a home is no laughing matter, not something left to horse play. A home is the center of a childhood. A place for the kids to bring friends to with a backyard for heated sport games to get plenty of healthy fresh air. For a family garden out back, behind the dog house.

The American Dream just made brighter. I had read over 1.6 million home buyers nationwide had benefit from the earlier $8000 tax credit that had a sunset provision of the end of November. Many folks sweating bullets to get the homes under contract to close in time have been struggling with title issues, occupancy requirements and all the loose ends any home buying real estate sale can have.

That November 30th 2009 earlier deadline was getting awfully close. Dangerously close.

Here's the National Associations of Realtor's press release on the latest home buying tax rebate extension incentives, how it works and for how long.

Do you own a home, how long for this part of the program, and basically do you qualify, meet the test guidelines? The NAR chart helps easily work you thru to see if you are a candidate or not. Single, married, income limits, sale price / mortgage ceilings..see the chart for an easy to digest quick peek at how you stand.

Andrew, you are right on about the nightmares that REALTORS and home buyers were facing with the November 30 deadline.  I like the fact that they new limit gives us an under contract date as well as a closed by date!

Thanks for the link Andrew.  I had not seen it yet and it is very self explanitory.  I'm planning to make room on my website for it now.

I like the short and sweet. The Maine Realtor's group sent it to us. Congress kept the first time credit for $8,000 and added another for $6,500 for those homebuyers who have not purchased a home in the last five years.  How about buying a vacation, retirement place? Now there's a Christmas present or New Year's resolution any of us in here would love to be of service to fulfill.

Tip for riding horses when you are not a cowboy nor watched Bonanza growing up. If the old plug...I mean horse decides it's time to hand gallop back to the barn, remember he/she can not charge warp speed unless in a straight line...so crank it hard starboard, port. Rein in that horse one direction or the other, shorten that rein on one side, loosening the other hand's grip a tad to allow Mr Mustang's or Pinto's head to turn sharply. You can not top spin that speed in a tight circle and you regain control. Had a sister in law who did not get that advise and broke both arms on the way back to the barn, getting clipped off the horse's back by an low flying apple tree that came in to the vector below radar.
