We all get support and encouragement, and can't bear the thought of living without it.
Here's what I'm talking about . . . When I started my business and got my first job, I came home to a present, wrapped with a bow. It was an empty tool box. The card said, "I'm proud of you!" I thought, "Well, that was sweet!". A few days later I went to my second client calling. When I got home, wrapped with a ribbon, was an engineer quality tape measure. The card said, "I'm proud of you; you will need this." The next paid employment I had out doing my thing, I came home to a hammer, again wrapped in ribbon with a small box of nails. The card attached once again hailed his admiration for my accomplishments. He kept it going for quite awhile and I must say at this point my tool box is complete, along with a ladder and drill.
My support and daily encouragement comes from my spouse. My husband, Dale, is in Milwaukee visiting his mom this week. He left Saturday and will be coming home tomorrow. I can't wait! Seems he's been gone forever, but it's only been 4 days. Hence, that's what started me blogging on the support and encouragement Dale has provided to me.
I know you have a story to share . . . I look forward to hearing it, so please blog on! Blog about your best support! Sharing stories like these keeps our positive energies flowing. Not to mention giving us great creative ideas for spreading support back to our loved ones!

Karen, that is so sweet! I have a lot of support by the way of family and friends, my sister, who immediately after I declared I was in the business, drove me to her friend's house and had the friend buy a one hour consultation from me; my business partner, who is ALWAYS there for me; and my husband, who a few years ago, after noticing me searching websites for Interior Redesign Training for months and months, surprised me when he took his yearly bonus and enrolled me in a training class, as an anniversary gift, so I could learn the "ins and outs" of the business... It certainly has been a gift that keeps on giving. And now he always tells me how proud he is of me too. It is great to have that kind of support.
I am reminded of what my Grandma would say about my Grandpa... "I always hoped that I would be as good a woman to him, as he was man to me." so sweet!
