Green / Sustainable Homes, are they working?

I am looking for information on existing green / sustainable housing developments. I am particularly interested in how the homes have worked for people, what they do like and what they don't like. Is there any contractors board, blog area, websites, myspace or ??? than any of you know of where I could start talking with some of these folks whether they are owners or contractors?

Also helpful would be a place look into problems encountered during the building process....with codes, obtaining material, preparing the ground, local reaction...etc.

Eco All-Stars looks like a great place to hang...thanks for letting me know about it! I will be seeing you there...I have much more research in this area (and some website building) to do! Have you seen a retrofit "green" certification in your area yet? That is to say, for certain remodels and repairs are certifications being offered? If so, are certs like this desirable and are they helping sales? See you soon, Sue
