The following blog was written by Dona Reynolds, one of my great ActiveRain friends. She is, and has been, raising money to purchase bikes for special needs kids in St. Joseph.
Dona has also established a foundation in honor of her son who was killed while riding his bike several years ago. The foundation was established to raise awareness on the importance a wearing helmets while riding your bike, it raises money to purchase bikes for kids who do have a bike or cannot afford to buy one.

Several years ago, I wrote our personal story of a tragedy about my son that was killed, and how it has changed thousands of kids lives across the United States.
This is a contest that I need your help to nominate and vote for

The contest is CLOROX CLEAN-UP CONTEST and they are giving away $10,000 grants for kids.
There is currently 8 kids that need a special adapted bike due to disabilities and these bikes are $500 apiece. Please take a minute and nominate and vote. It does not cost you anything only a little time.
