Here's a Song Every Teen and Tween Should Listen to...and Hear!

There is a Christian music radio station that I love to listen to called 95.5 the Fish. One of their promises is that you will never hear objectionable music on their station and it's true.

Lately one of my favorites is called "A More Beautiful You" by Jonny Diaz. In a day and age when teen boys and girls care so much about looks and getting the guy or girl, this is such a refreshing change.

Listen carefully to the words..they are so meaningful. Enjoy.

Hi Barbara, Pat sent me over here to see this. I was just thinking today as I was digging out the old showing land clothing, how I can't STAND to waste my time on doing my hair or putting on gobs of makeup. I know that over the years I have wanted to pay more attention, but I never have had the patience. I guess it takes some people longer than others to be comfortable in their own skins!

The cows love me as I am, LOL. Great post!

That is a good song. It is also featured on the Christian stations I listen to. Cant understand why mainstream secular radio has not picked up on it.

Doug, Because it's not what mainstream secular radio wants to promote. It's just the opposite.

Pat's blog about unfeatured posts sent me here. There are two popular Christian groups here that this would have been a great place to post them. Even if they are not featured by the AR dudes it will get more exposure.

Barb, I put the link to this song, with the lyrics, on my 13 year old son's facebook. I think even boys would benefit from this. From a standpoint of respect for girls and women and for any angst they feel about themselves. Thanks for posting it. I've never heard it before.

I know that song and love it too! I never listen to anything else except when my 15 year old daughter is in the car, and then it's Pink, Carrie Underwood, etc..

Barb, sorry I missed this when you posted. Caught it on Pat's blog of unfeatured posts. Love it and it expresses my sentiments about teens today in general. Time for all of us to focus on real values.
