We had been members of Active Rain for 7 months & 10 days as of June 21^st, when we crossed over into the rarified atmosphere of 100,000 points with our 284^th post (giving us 60 points to spare).

On that special day, we also achieved the coveted number one position in Minnesota—snatching it ever-so-adroitly from our colleague and friend Teresa Boardman. That lofty position was maintained for only a day or so—but we have proof!

Just for fun, here is our first-ever post.

We’ve come a long way since that 1^st post, we’ve learn much of the joy of blogging, and the addictive nature of it. So much so, that we’ve decided to take our act into the wild and wooly internet writ large, away from the warm fuzzies of Active Rain—to see if it has wheels—and more importantly if the wheels get traction.

We are not leaving the rain altogether—we will comment here & there, and we will post, perhaps weekly—that second hundred grand—well, who knows?
