Griffin GA Real Estate New Listings October 2009

The number of new listings coming on the market in Griffin, GA decreased to 98 in October 2009, compared to 109 a year ago and 117 in September 2009. Through October 2009 year-to-date, there have been 1,022 homes coming on the market, compared to 1,423 in all of 2008.

Jessica - I hope that means that your market is improving. Here in Nashville our inventory levels have been falling slowly as sales pick up.

@ Larry  Despite what the president of the local BOR said in the newspaper; I'm not ready to say that the market is improving in Griffin. The averages sales price is down about $11,000 YTD (compared to 2008) and the volume of closed homes is still down too.  In addition, when you factor in almost 17% unemployment, it isn't the prettiest of pictures.

Homes are still selling, but we've got many, many challenges here.
