This is Why Some Animals Eat Their Young

I get emails all the time with jokes and the inevitable, "Pass this on to ten people immediately or your dog will get warts" or some equally stupid message. I don't expect you to pass this on (unless you just can't help yourself), just enjoy a giggle.

I was having trouble with my computer. So, I called Richard, the 11-year-old next door whose bedroom looks like Super Computer Boy Mission Control and asked him to come over.

Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. As he was walking away, I called after him and asked, "So, what was wrong?".

He replied, "It was an ID ten T error." I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, "An ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again."

Richard grinned, "Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?" "No", I replied. "Write it down", he said, "and I think you'll figure it out."

So I wrote down, ID10T.

I used to like the little guy.

That kid has a great future in IT support. He's already got the attitude down, just needs to keep building his skills.

How funny thanks for sharing I really needed the laugh-it is wonderful how children have the ability to fix computer problem's for us.

Hi Pamela, Cute joke - we've all been there. Maybe I'm just perverse, but when I'm threatened in an email unless I pass it on, I usually delete it. If I can't resist sharing, I will block and copy rather than forwarding, because occasionaly there are scary things that track who these things get forwarded to. I don't want to get spam sent to my friends.

That is so cute thanks for sharing with us. I know i have been a ID10T, when it comes to the computer.

Pamela, My good friend was in the compter business for years. He once told me that an "Ignoramus is someone who doesn't know what you learned yesterday". We are all ingorant of many things. I welcome opportunities to learn something new everyday. Life is an adventure.

Hi Suan - I agree with you. I get so much email, I find myself deleting forwarded jokes just because I'm afraid of opening an attachment - you never know where they've been! ;D
