Happy Birthday Big Bird!

Sesame Street, The children's television show home to Cookie Monster, Elmo and Big Bird turned 40 today.

My kids watched this when they are young and it is amazing to know that their kids may be watching it too. Sesame Street is shown in 140 countries and has helped millions of children learn to count and read.

To celebrate, Michelle Obama was featured on the show today.

Hi Michael~ All of my children grew up with Sesame Street! I can't believe that it has been around for 40 years!

Michael,

Our son grew up on these merry fellows. Hey, I even started to really pay attention to what was going on as I watched the shows with him. Bert and Ernie made my day time and again.

As the Google marquee has been ordained by characters of Sesame Street, I was shocked by the fact that this was only the 40th anniversary. I have known of the television series, the movies, the games and the toys since my youth. Now I am proud to say that I can pass on this delightful childhood experience to my son.

It obviously filled a need. Time is the test--standing the test of time.
