Hmmmm...  can't tell if that's a rotted wood floor or a fence.  I'm going with FLOOR.

Charles,  It looks like the inside of an empty water tank to me.

Maybe it was a pool.  Looks like an old concrete wall and it does look like it had water on it at one time.

Sincerely,

Kathleen

Hi Charles: I skipped the comments so as not to be influenced.  My guess is an old barrel with mineral deposits.

Matt, that is exactly what it is----now from what?

At first I thought it was a waterfall of some sort, Charles.  But, upon closer inspection, it looked like an empty pool or water trough.  You did say it was a barrel with mineral deposits.  Now I'm curious as to what is from.  Spill (sorry), please.

OK---enough with the torture.

Hops vats at Makers Mark, Kentucky

It is an empty hops vat at Makers Mark in Kentucky---for making whiskey.  The first picture has been my "background" picture on my computer for months----thought it would make a good Wordless Wednesday picture.

Hey Charles, Well I never would have guessed what it was, so I'm glad someone got it right. Very interesting pic.

Have a great day,

I got here too late to make my guess! There was a wreck today in Scott County of a tanker truck carrying Canadian whiskey. Now EPA will have to check into the soil damage at the horse farm after the truck plowed through the trees, plank fence and whiskey escaped!

Thanks Anne

Carl & Ceil, now you know:)

Lizette, I was hoping you would be the first to comment because I was sure you would know.  Canadian Whiskey in Kentucky?  Sounds like sabotage to me:)

DANG -- I'm too late!  Now if I tell you my "guess" you'll say I cheated.  But I was going to say it's a barrell for moonshine!!

Dang, I missed this one by a week or so.

So tell us Charles, why do you have a picture of an empty bourbon vat from Makers Mark as the background on your computer.

Are you desiring to contemplate (or celebrate) your past over indulgences, or are you just waiting for one of us in Kentucky to send you some Maker's Mark Bourbon

Maybe so, Charles, maybe so.

BUT, you didn't answer the question!

Erby--believe it or not---I just like the picture---from when I visited there a couple of years ago:)  My past over indulgences have been few and far between----not since college really----I am afraid I am kind of boring:)
