I knew a man called him Sandy Kane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero was he
Left a boy, came back a man
Still many just don't understand
About the reasons we are free

I can't forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cries
As he said these words to me

All gave some and some gave all

Now Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man

Hey Al and Peggy- thank you for the beautiful tribute to our Vets on both sides of our border. My neighbor is an old WWII Retired Naval Commander and he's the first on my stop for today.

From there I have a date with a bunch of my service buddies. We're going to break some guys out of the local VA for some food and fun. Have a great Veterans Day you two.

I don't now if either or both of you served, but if so thank you for answering the call.

Debbie we love this song. We think Billy Ray gave it justice in his presentation. It is a beautiful song and so appropriate for today. It actually sends the chills up when he sings and then goosebumps. Just knowing some really did give their all! Have a great day Debbie. Hi Suesan, very nice to know that you will be celebrating with Veterans today! So nice of you to "break them out" for a bit. They have such great stories to tell and we really should be listening. Have a wonderful time Sue. Neither one of us served, but my Dad did. Sometimes, only rarely he would give us a peak into what he had lived, but most times he didn't talk about it...
