On Stage was selected to help in the marketing of this home in an upscale neighborhood. This particular home was getting traffic...lots of it. The price was in the mid 800 range, but when prospective buyers entered the home, they were hit with bad oak "office looking" furniture. Not exactly what the prospective homebuyer is expecting. The homeowners did not want to spend the money in the begining on staging, but decided to leave "key" peices of furniture that would give potential homebuyers the "idea" of how to live in the home. The home sat and sat on the market without a nibble. The agent finally convinced the homeowners to have the property "professionally staged by our company. The agent left with the "80's" still in her mind and returned in the afternoon OVERJOYED. She could not believe it was the same house and could hardly wait to have the homeowners revisit their home. Here are some of the results....
Thanks.. I was just in Palm Springs for 10 days and can't wait to get back....
Clearly, just putting furniture in a room is NOT staging the home to sell. Cheers for this.
Thanks Brian.. I am glad you understand what staging really means. Have a great day from the Pacific Northwest
Todd -- this house has been welcomed to the 21st century very nicely -- good job!
Todd -- Big difference! the before and after photos really point up the huge improvements a little staging can bring. hope sells soon.
So glad you were able to bring the house into the current decade! Good luck on a quick sale.
Maureen: Now the very modern light fixtures that you can't see seem to go away...
Alexsandra: WE all hope the staging makes the difference in the house.
David: WE think with the current staging things will improve the chances for a much quicker sale.
Todd - Really like to changes! I always wonder - how do other stagers get those lamps in the middle of the room to light up? Is there an outlet in the floor or have you run a cord to the wall? Thanks for the tip...
Todd,
Wow! The 80's look is gone and replace by beautiful staging. Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Todd,
WOW! Beautiful work! These are great examples of before and after's! Brian's comment above is so right on...furniture placement alone is not Staging and does not have the impact needed to connect with the buyers. Great job!!!
Shelly: I am a HUGE proponent of lamps... There are always solutions to power up a lamp. That is the first thing that I look for is power options. That is one of the determining factors that drives a design. This listing had a floor outlet... I love floor outlets, they are overlooked in home design probablly due to cost. I always run the cord under a rug. If there is a way for a person to trip, they will. I always see cords in photos where the cords are sailing through the air... A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN..
Patty: I hope the 80's never come back.. at least for furniture...
Linda: I totally agree... Placement is just one element for a professional staging job...
