My owner is a Realtor with Century 21 Award in San Diego. If you're flying into San Diego this weekend, when you hear the wheels go down on the plane, look down and wave because you'll be about 15 miles out in East County about 5,000 feet above our house.

You might bring:

  • sweater or jacket
  • ear muffs
  • mittens
  • hat, cap, or hood
  • wool socks
  • long-sleeve shirts
  • warm pants
  • good shoes

because we're expecting cold weather this weekend. You knew it was going to be that way, right?

Weather forecast is for daytime highs in the high 60s and nighttime lows in the high 50s from tomorrow until everyone leaves on Tuesday. We have it tough out here, I know.

VERY FUNNY!  I know people in SD, California have no concept of cold.  Wish I could be there with my ear muffs.

I'm thinking I could make ear muffs from a mink stole left to me by my grandmother. What do you think?

Jim,

You may as well be in Toronto. I thought it was hot there all the time.

Well you know Jim that does sound cold to me.  I heard we'll be down into the low 70's but cheeze louis you guys will be in the 50's.

Janice - make me a pair of ear muffs out of that mink stole - that would be cool!

Jim,

Wow, that's pretty chilly! I bet everyone going thought they'd have an opportunity to get away from the cold weather where they live. When you think Southern California, you think fun in the sun, not ear muffs! I'm sure you all will have a blast anyway.

LOL you are reminding me of the dingbat news caster that asked the meteorologist last winter when we had 3 inches of snow if it was a "blizzard" and to give some safe driving tips and safety items we should take along with us.  I can't believe the moron answered like we actually were having a blizzard and living in the midwest with "dry food, bottled water, blankets, shovel, etc".  Tell me, how many people in Las Vegas own a snow shovel??

I am not by any means calling you a dingbat or a moron, you are just making me giggle like a school girl like they did.

Hey, Folks.

Well, the weatherperson generally had it pretty right, except that it got a little hotter on Monday and Tuesday than what they were predicting.

It's kind of funny because when San Diego advertises itself, they always use the average days of sunshine and the average year-round daytime temperature. "Days" and "Daytime" are the key, because at night it can get very cold along the coast when the marine layer rolls in off the ocean, and inland it can get very cold when the desert winds arrive from the high deserts out of northern Arizona, Nevada, and southern Utah.

Sometimes, like once a decade or so, it actually snows down to the 1,000 foot level.
