I have really enjoyed this whole blogging thing and sharing my ideas with other agents. I have had some positive and some negative responses and I am happy with either.
Each of us have our own opinions and some are stronger then others, but in doing this job we all know that attitude is important.
People still buy and people still sell. The prices really don't matter all that much to me. I just want more people to buy. Somebody has to be the buyer's agent or the seller's agent and I figure why not me.
I don't think you are going to do yourself a service by having a defeatist attitude. Their have been Realtors who have been doing this business for many many years and have seen every kind of market. They continue to do this business and you can to. Just roll with it. Find other ways to stimulate buyers and sellers to get together.
I am just getting back into the sales part of this after a few years in and out of management. I haven't sold anything so far this year, but I know it will come. I have many personal reasons for my non-production, but that is a whole different type of blog site for a David Heinkel pity party.
This is what I do, this is what I enjoy. This profession in the past 7 years paid me more then all of my other jobs combined did over the previous 15. Remember why you are doing this. If it is about making money then do something that will help you make money today. Go back to the basics, Open House, Door Knock, Ask friends, family, people on the street if they are thinking of buying or selling or if they know anyone who is. Be the Realtor you can be. If everyone is being negative then get away from them. Misery loves company, but is that the company you want to have over?
Keep your chin up, Stay positive, focus and rededicate yourself to this business, your business.
