Exciting News for Woodall Rodgers Park Project in Dallas, TX
Construction staging started recently on the 5.2-acre Woodall Rodgers Park which will separate the Uptown Dallas and Downtown Dallas areas. The Harwood Street Bridge and St. Paul exit ramp are officially closed for demolition! This is an $80 million deck park that will span over Woodall Rodgers Freeway between Pearl and St. Paul streets. The park will connect Dallas' thriving Arts District while offering a central gathering spot for Dallas and its visitors to enjoy. Park plans include: jogging trails, a dog park, a children's playground, a restaurant, a performance pavilion, a water sculpture, an area for games and so much more. The project will generate approximately 1,000 immediate jobs and will encourage additional economic development and job growth in the future. What an exciting and monumental event this is for not only the city of Dallas, but neighboring cities such as Allen, Frisco, and Plano as well! Once completed, the Woodall Rodgers Park is sure to improve the quality of life for our metropolis, in addition to becoming a special spot in Dallas for generations to come.
