Daily Focus: Happiness and Success

Quote: Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. - Albert Schweitzer

Question: Do you believe that it's possible to be both happy and successful? Which is more important, happiness or success?

Today's Focus: Be Happy! Happy people those who live life to the fullest and who shine with positive energy attract success into their lives. Success is not just about just getting more! The definition of success means changing the quality of your life for the better. You can have wealth, fame, power, and status but without true happiness them they all become meaningless.

In thinking about how to happy, I am reminded of a quote of Albert Schweitzer: "I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve."

"Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." - Abraham Lincoln

"There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way" - Wayne Dyer

"Celebrate the happiness that friends are always giving, make every day a holiday and celebrate just living!." - Amanda Bradley

Bob, one way to achieve a state of contentment is to breathe fully. Take a full deep yogic breath. Breathe through your nose only. Start from the bottom of your stomach, bring the breath up until your shoulders rise slightly. Hold the breath briefly. Then let it out very slowly. You will be in a state of contentment because you will be living in the present as opposed to living in the past or future.
