Yesterday, ActiveRain member Richard Weisser wrote a post about the beauty of everyday nature. His eloquent words prompted me to go through some of my old photos. Photos that capture what often goes by unnoticed. Scenes that we far to often do not see or take for granted...

My friend... you are in the wrong business.  That is a professional image if I've ever seen one.   What was your lighting setup?  Amazing.

Jesse, Thanks for the words of encouragement. I used natural lighting and manual settings on my DSLR. This was done with a 101mm macro f~2.8 @ 30 shutter speed... I bracketed using different speeds and this one came out the best. Hope this helps.

Michael,

There are so many talented people here in AR and I agree with Jesse, I think that you are in the wrong business.  Have you taken photography classes or do you recommend doing something like that.

I don't know if you can see me or not, but I just did the "I'm not worthy" arm motions to you :-)   You my friend are an incredible photographer!

Roy, Thanks. You have a great weekend too...
Don, I am slowly migrating out of the inspection business and will be pursuing my passion. The photo/video business will be a dba of the inspection business. I will have other folks do the inspections.
Kris, Thank you so much for the kind words...
Kevin, macro photography really opens up a whole new world...

Michael we tune in everyday just to see your beautiful photographs. Ceil laughed when she was reading all your photography lingo above. She says that is why we have an Easyshare shoot and go camera.

Michael - That's pretty unusual. The light has to be perfect, and those thinks have to cooperate. I don't think I have the patients for it.

Debe, Thanks for the comment and double take. I strive to be a purist in my photography, but I will admit that I did 'enhance' the green a smidge using PhotoShop. Had I been using slide film, I would have used a filter...

Michael, that is a beautiful photo, and yes, definitely worthy of Natl Geographic.  The lighting brings out all those little details in the buds opening up.  Thanks for sharing and have a great day.

Michael this is a lovely photo of things we often overlooked.  It was just last night I was signed on to  Flickr and was enjoying photographs of all types of fungi.
