I just don't understand people, or I should say, I just don't understand human nature. It seems any decision made these days is met with 49% of the people being unhappy. We had an empty commercial building, an old cigar box factory to be correct, and we turned it into places to live.

We even gave it a snazzy new name...30 SoHo ( for the address 30 South Howard) isn't that clever.

We COOKED up our plan and set about creating a recipe for something new

We set WASHING the old place down, sometimes working DOUBLE TIME

We SHOWERED our project with love

We ended up with a project we could VIEW with pride.

After all is said and done, the feedback has been very positive, YET there are those that have complained about losing the old building, the project changes the neighborhood. It seems 51% of people are thrilled with the project, and 49% just can't handle the change. Change is good people.

Gerry, what you did looks awesome, but I don't get how it connects to your title and intro...are there people unhappy about what you did?  Are there people unhappy because of the rent?  Are there some folks who didn't want the building changed in some way?  Please, give us more!

Life is wonderful.  Be happy.  Those who don't have money invested don't have a complaint.

A developer is working on a large project in downton Lexington.  Tons of money involved. BUT it took down the old buildings.  The people that wanted to "save" them didn't want to put their money where their mouth is.

On with life.

I believe there are just some folks who you can't please.  Not everyone is going to like what you do.  Looks pretty nice to me, but then I have no attachment to the prior business!

It does seem like some people fight change even when is change for the good.  Looks like this project is providing some nice housing.  The interesting part is that these seem people may not have given a second thought to the old buildings as they were, but as soon as you update or renovate it they see it the way it was.
