Hi Missy:  It does look big and you say they are making it bigger!  Did you or any of your family attend this University.  I'm thinking maybe that daughter that bleeds Maize and Blue?

Interesting post Missy.  We visited the University when my son was looking at colleges & the excitement of going by the stadium was palpable!

Missy - What great fun and a wonderful family tradition and I bet your clients love their tour of the Big House. Another point of distinction for you, I'm sure!

I have had the pleasure of attending a game there, incredible!  I can not believe they are making it bigger.  Congrats!  It is much deserved.

College football is a lot of fun!  I lived in Gainesville, FL and we were just as excited about Gator Football.  Now that the stadium is bigger you can get more tickets!!

I am glad I saw it in person from the street before it is changed.  It is bizarre how inconspicuous it is from the street, on the corner of State and Main. We drove around it so I could see there really is a stadium there.

Marchel, none of my children have attended there yet. Only the top 5% of graduating classes in high school get in.

Lola, maybe you can come over this year? or a you a State fan being from the Western part of Michigan ?

Paula, yes everyone who sees it is amazed. Being in the ground, it is quite a shock.

Scott, tickets are always hard to get. We lived here for many years and couldn't get them. Then my husband worked at the U and we were able to get them, as students, faculity and staff are a priority. We hold onto them for dear life.

Maureen, in 2010, when the new stadium with all the luxury seats open, we will be at Ohio State. So our big rivilary will be there in 2011.

Missy... you know that I actually don't like ND. Growing up, everyone and their mother loved ND. And I am even Irish Catholic. lol   I don't pick America's teams as so many do... lol  

I haven't been to the Big House as of yet. Wait, which big house? At Michigan or the big house that I would be wearing orange in.???  But I have been to Notre Dame and I know what you are talking about. From the outside, it looks big but when inside the staduim, holy toledo....  HUGE. Now, I am a sports buff and if my numbers are correct, doesn't the Big House hold close to 105,000 people?  I think it's the first or 2nd largest in College football....  USC?  I know Michigan State seats a lot also.

I decided to do some research.... 

Now.... currently.  seating capacity at 107,501.  The stadium will include 83 suites and 3,200 club seats when this project is completed.

Jeff, we are the biggest, TN enlarged one year and then we added more so we are still the biggest ! Now we will be even bigger. We currently hold over 107,000. It is a crazy day...........especially trying to show houses in Ann Arbor, so I try to get clients to come in on away games.

Missy,   I'm glad they're updating the stadium, including widening the seats. Time to sign up for the sky box. By that time, maybe I can afford one chair.

Gary, I think ONLY Corporations will be able to afford those sky boxes. But, it will be fun. Go Blue !!
