Electronic signatures

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

One of the improvements to our advanced customer service is the implementation on the electronic signature option for our clients.  This has been a great option for many of our clients.

Today many people travel frequently and this is a great tool to keep transactions on track.  Another benefit is helping folks who are relocating to Fort Collins sign documents with the least possible trouble.  One of my favorite uses is to have someone from across town who wants to sign something, I can be at home in the evening with my family, send the e contract and not leave home.

Serving our clients as many ways as possible, our commitment.

Keeping the parties informed of the escrow process

Hi David, Imagine my thrill at being able to conduct my first EClosing last week with Flagstar.  What a different experience, not necessarily easier for the escrow officer but it does feel more progressive.  The word of caution for notaries out there is to be sure to check with your regulatory body before "notarizing" the on line documents.  After checking with the Department of Licensing with the State of Washington, I found out that they do not yet have language in their rules that provide for an on-line Notary.  Yet.  So no biggie, I just printed out those that required a notary and off we went.

Hi David and Julie,

eDisclosures, eMortgages, and eClosings are finally becoming more common. eOriginal's electronic signature and vaulting services enabled the first end-to-end eMortgage/eClosing in 2001.

Having sat at the settlement table a few times myself, I always wondered why we weren't doing this from our personal computers. With so many documents to review and sign, one feels restricted in asking questions or taking extra time to review each document. At home, I can take my time.

eDisclosure is a terrific tool even if your office is not ready to go fully paperless. Here is a link to our blog that addresses the recent changes in the TILA:

Using eDisclosure reduces the waiting time from 3 days to the same day, allowing you to collect fees sooner and enabling the client to get their funds quicker. Additionally, eDisclosure can be used for loan denial letters, saving you from expending valuable resources for activities that do not provide revenue.
