What was the best vacation you ever had?  Have you ever thought about what made for a really great vacation?

  • Is it the LOCATION?
  • Is is the PEOPLE you are with?
  • Is it the ACTIVITIES you partiipate in?
  • Is it the WEATHER?
  • Is it the FOOD and DRINKS?
  • Is it the INACTIVITY?
  • Is it the TRAVELING?
  • Is it the SCENERY?

Or is it something else?

I'd like to know what makes for a GREAT VACATION for YOU?

I have a suggestion--eastern North Carolina is a wonderful vacation destination.  Hubert NC, Swansboro NC  and Onslow County have much to offer, come see.

For me a great vacation is the scuba diving. Jumping in the water, being able to breathe off a tank for 40 minutes to an hour, seeing the sea life, taking pictures getting very close to nature. That is what makes a great vacation for me

I love to see new sights and see the way other people live.  And what they have to do in their cities, that's what I love about a vacation.

Mainly I think you can't have a great vacation without great poeple or friends with you. Its not always bad to have nice scenery as well.  That really adds to it.

Relaxing, food and drinks make a great vacation, no matter where you go.

Hello Dan,
I have never dived but what an experience that must be!

Hi Chuck!
Yeah, if you're not with people you enjoy, it's not going to be so great.

You are really moving up in the AR world.  You could trade in some of those points for a great vacation trip.  Keep posting, just please don't pass me.

Hi Ginger & Roger,
Thanks for your comments.  The traveling is not my favorite either.

Hello Ronnie,
Appreciate you keeping tabs on me--but I'll never catch you!  Do you have lots of  4th  vacationers there this week?

This is the heaviest week for tourists.  Some estimate 250,000 to 300,000 are down for the week.  How is your business?

As for the points, you might just fly past me soon.  I am currently maintaining another blog and looking at two additional projects so things might get busy in the near future.

Hi Ronnie,
I hope some of the tourist are looking at your properties.  Business here has picked up in the past 3 weeks, more lookers.

Sounds like you will soon have a full plate.  Good luck.

My favorite spot is "Sanddollar Island"  Just between Beaufort and Shackleford Banks.  Why?  I dont have a cell phone and get to spend precious time with my three children Caroline, Rachel and Ward.  When I close my eyes and think of my happy spot.....

Hi Katie,
I know exactly where you are talking about.  I live in Hubert NC now but grew up in Pine Knoll Shores.  It is a great spot.  I love Ocracoke Island.

A great vacation would be going to St. Thomas, soaking up the sun and relaxing on the beach.  Reminds me that I am in need of a Great Vacation.

Hi Dianne,

Me too!  Too many of my get aways recently have had an agenda!  St. Thomas sounds good to me.  Thanks for commenting.
