Let me tell you all, this was no ordinary "Expo"!  Oh no, this was more like an old-time Revival Tent Meeting!  An event where one could go and meet - and even touch - the Stars of Staging!  And yes, get Religion too!!!

StagersList.com

How can I possibly describe the many talents that were present last Thursday, Nov. 12, at the lovely NJ Churchill Rental location?  I believe over 100 attended this Expo sponsored by StagersList.com!  So many old and new friends were there.

How can I describe my extreme delight to meet, IN PERSON, such AR luminaries as Terrylynn Fisher, Chris Fisher, Melissa Marro, Christine Rae, Shell Brodnax and several other major talents?  And let me tell you all one thing about that Melissa Marro:  she says she is "dry" and humorless.  Well, watching her slide her lovely eyes around the room after a "dry" comment just makes you burst out laughing.  She knows what she's doing, and I love it!  (Good thing she brought her jeans...)

How much do I appreciate the Activerain blogging platform?  It's been more than a year since my last post, and people were still recognizing me!

How can I describe the incredible value derived from this one content-filled day?  Including entry fee, gas and tolls, the total cost was under $100!!!  Key topics included:  "Marketing for Explosive and Consistent Sales", "Market Driven Trends for Revenue", "RESA Overview and Update", "Feng Shui", "Overcoming Objections"...and many more.  This day was packed with valuable information.

So, I got Religion, which is well-timed, as Nestings has re-entered the Staging field in Fairfield County, CT, with gusto.  This Expo has re-energized me, and I came away with a long, but purposeful, To-Do list.  Primary items include:  joining RESA (I finally GOT it, Shell - thanks!), converting my newsletter to Constant Contact, and treating my business like a business.  Hallelujah!

When this Expo comes to a city near you, I encourage you to clear your calendar and plan to attend!

Happy Staging - Julie

I have a great respect for stagers and the work they do. I am glad you had a great time at the event. Stagers are key for many properties that I have listed and gotten sold.

Thank you so much for the review of our recent Expo, Julia.  It was wonderful to meet you, and I have to tell everyone that I recognized Julia immediately from her Active Rain picture.  What a cutie and a very nice woman!  We met lots of great people there.  If you'd like to check the schedule, Elizabeth, it is at StagersLISTExpo.com.  We are done for this year, but we are working on planning the schedule for next year so please let Terrylynn or myself where you'd like to see an expo!

The blessing of the day was the terrific group of attendees Julia...without all of you, we wouldn't have had anyone to talk to. I am proud to bring this to Cities around the country and bring the convention to you...It is wonderful to have so many of the industry greats local and national who are willing to share, including you. THANKS for your input and your support. See you next year. Thanks for the terrific testimonial. Julie,

We are so glad you "get it". I think we all feel that when attendees have the "light bulb moment" we have done our jobs. We are very lucky that everyone at EXPO will be presenting diferent subjects at Convention. I think SLEXPO will be back on the road in 2010 also, so the plan is to have everyone's light bulbs light up in 2010!!

It is always great for us to meet and mix with everyone. Cant wait until Vegas and 2010 is going to be the largest growth year for home staging we have ever seen. Stay tuned to see what StagersLIST and RESA have in store!

Julie we were all thrilled with the response to this event. It was a pleasure to meet you. It was thrilling to also connect with many people i have known since the advent of staging as a business. Business may have been tough- but its when the "tough get going" Congratulations to all who have weathered this adverse market - the best is yet to come

Julie, I too attended StagersList Expo at Churchill in Hawthorne NJ and I just loved it! The best money I ever spent on my business.. My head was spinning with all the information we were given so I'm really glad I took all those notes.. I just loved Melissa Marro and plan on using all her marketing ideas to propel my business forward in 2010. Good luck with re-energizing your business and I'm sorry now that we did not get to meet, but maybe next year!

Haha!! YES!! IT WAS A VERY GOOD THING I BROUGHT JEANS!! Thanks for the really kind words. I had such a pleasure speaking at the Expo and then there is the fantastic opportunity to meet so many of my AR friends!!! It's funny but it always feels like we are just catching up and then I realize that we are just meeting for the first time - how weird and wonderful is that?
