Speechless Sunday - Cancun Moon

Cancun Mexico moon

I took this photo from the balcony of our room at the Westin Lagunamar Resort in Cancun Mexico one evening (Monday Nov. 2, 2009) as we were enjoying a glass of wine before dinner, watching the full moon rise. I didn't have my tripod so the photo was a little shakey, but catching the cruise ship coming past the edge of the hotel added some interest. Not quite as good as the real thing but you get the idea.

Now that is a sight, beautiful blue water and the moon above.

That is a symphony in blue.

William - yep, the next day was decent and it was all down hill from there. Never saw the sun again.

Donna - it really was that color. The hotel picked up the light and with the purle columns it was pretty dramatic.

Lynda - LOL. Well it was lots of fun despite the hurrican and 5 of the 7 days being ugly. but it was time away and that was precious.

Elite - why thank you. The water color was amazing since it was still somewhat light even with the moon. My little camera didn't do too bad a job.

Jane - what a nice way to think about it. I have fond memories of that evening.

Believe it or not I'd rather be in the hotel room than on the boat! Very beautiful photo.

It is always great to get away Jeff! You picked a great spot to recharge the batteries. I am away on vacation right now in Florida.

Nice sunset and congrats on getting away! I would have never noticed the cruise ship if you didn't point it out! Hope you came back relaxed and ready to sell!

Renee - indeed. I tried another photo when the boat moved along but it was too dark. Yep, ready to sell, need more buyers ready to buy. :)

George - well it's just that the edges are not as sharp as they could be, even though I balanced the camera on the railing. But I appreciate the compliments.
