Callie:  I believe the face-to-face interactions are the most valuable.  Or even a simple phone call to let them know you're thinking of them.  It's amazing to me sometimes when I call someone and they'll comment that they haven't heard from me in a while.  And we thought we were bugging them!  These methods involve our time only and often very little money out of pocket.  Good luck to you!
