I get calls from them every week. They won't stop, even when I ask them to.
"Hi Mr...um...DeBord? Can you handle working with some more buyers in Seattle? I'm looking for an agent to work with......"
Ugh.
Been there, done that. ZTook me months to get them to stop billing me....
Sam, that sucks. Can you tell them to put you on the DNC list??
Lori, how did you get them to stop? I just sent them a cencellation e-mail, but I really don't want to go months with them still charging me!!
Stephanie, thanks for the heads-up. Like most lead generation schemes, its all about money to them. The best leads are the one's YOU generate.
Stephanie, you might be able to dispute the charges with your credit card company. Especially if they continue to charge you after you cancel.
Stephanie,
What a bummer! Thanks so much for letting us know about this. Hopefully you can get it all worked out so that you get your money back! Good luck.
Stephanie,
The best ROI I get is from my localism sponsored communties and the SEO I get from my Active Rain blog and outside blog. I do not pay for leads nor do I use Realtor.com....
Stephanie, I wished I read your blog two weeks ago when I signed up with them. Our agreement was that I was only suppose to get listing leads. I got 6 leads and all of them were no good. I got the account cancelled now and 4 of the leads credited because I could obviously showed them that these were not seller leads or there was no way for me to communicate with them.
If you can contact them even through email, they will charge you. The only good defense that they will honor is if they don't understand much English and you don't understand their language in which my case is Spanish to effectively do the deal.
I learned my lesson and refused to sign up for any lead generators except through my own website, which has been getting me a couple of good leads each week. And even if they were no good, I don't lose anything.
BTW, I noticed that ReplyRealEstate advertise heavly in AR and might have started the no close, no charge, so be careful and make sure you know what you are signing up for.
Hi Stephanie, Thanks for posting this! I just got a call from reply.com and put them off until Monday. Then I searched ActiveRain and read your post. I will not be signing up with reply.com.
So glad I could help fellow AR members!!
They are starting to call me, so glad I check AR first. thanks so much for posting.
Susan
@Susan - LOVE your profile pic!! You'll have to show me how you did that. As far as REPLY!...I'm glad you checked here first too!! They're HORRIBLE!!
