Whenever I have an appointment, be it to show, list, or non real estate, I feel being prompt is important. I really get annoyed when folks are late. Makes me feel that my time is not important to the late arrivals. Even when I take CE, I feel the instructor should start promptly. On time is a value I hold high. Just a little rant for today. What's your two cents?
I confirm appointments and also tell the clients what times I have allotted for them (whether I have more time or not) This seems to make them value my time.
I am with you, Ken. I am always early. Those who are late do not respect the other person's time. If one is going to be late a call is in order as well!
Kenneth, I agree! I have a simple philosophy. If I am not 15 minutes early for an appointment, I am late. Very seldom am I late for an appointment.
Laura: Great point, "what time I have allotted for them" I was wondering how I can stop friendly conversation with my buyer and the seller. Now I'll tell the buyer "what time we have at this house"
Gary: You are correct. Respect is something we seem to be losing.
Michael: Nice philosophy, thanks for the comment.
I like 'on time' though occasionally I run late to meet with clients and I call but still feel bad that I have inconvenienced someone! But most of the time, I'm right on time! Happy Tuesday Kenneth!
I'm a right on time kind of person. I once had a client that I was 5 minutes late to 2 separate appointments and I felt awful.
Kenneth, to arrive early is being on time. Being on time is being late... Helping you live your American dream...
