Today is Wednesday, Tuesday November 17. As I walked out to get my paper, with a temp of 47 greeting a dash of color alongside my driveway was hard not to notice. I have a buffer between the lawn and the driveway just for a break and at the very edge of the buffer I have a row of Meidiland roses, a dozen bushes total.
Not that I am an expert on roses, but a while back a friend had told me about these low growing bushes that start to bud in late summer and will continue to flower through the summer. This one plant has it's clock a little messed up.

We live our lives and do our jobs going by the rules as best we can. Then nature takes a break to give us something to appreciate. This plant should have stopped giving a couple of months ago. We've already had frost and a dash of snow, but at least in one portion of my yard the beauty still survives, even if I don't know what the weekday is!

Ed, it is TUESDAY! dont rush my week the year has already gone by too fast! so far November seems to be warmer than most of the Summer, it has been a strange year for weather.
Ed, what a beautiful little flower. While it may have it's clock messed up, think of it this way ... it is trying to show you some beauty today. And what a nice sentiment to have to start the day.
Amazingly I as well have some rose bushes still blooming. The color is not as intense but certainly a pleasure to behold at this time of year. Nice photos.

I think all of us to to have our clocks missed up once in awhile. By getting out of the norm we can find a beautiful world waiting.
Robert, obviously I'm a bit more confused that I thought.
Dana, it seems lost out there, but the small philodendron right next to it also has some small white blooms
Linda, I believe this comes under the title 'A rose is a rose by any other name?
Larry, my clock today is a bit more messed up than normal, I'm trying to get to Wednesday a day early.
Lovely! Nature is full of surprises...thanks for sharing this one.
We planted some knock-out roses in Spring, and they're as full of blooms now as they've ever been. Great ornamental plant for our area, and I'm so glad we added them. Of course, my grandmother is probably turning over in her grave at the thought of roses in November...
Ed, I see that your confusion is catchy. You even have the poor flowers confused :) :) :)
Hey Ed, you got us confused on what day it is now! That sure is one pretty flower and what a nice surprise this time of year!
Ed - What a beautiful way to end my day! Here's a special song I found just for you! :)
Some of my roses continue to do well this late in the season as well! But, we are approaching frost temperatures during the night. I suspect my Impatiens will begin to bite the dust soon. Nice photos.
Ed, great photo! Our roses are done for the season!
Margaret, any grandmother would appreciate the roses, and give the credit to a higher authority. Thanks for stopping
George, it's just a knack
Al & Peggy, Ours is not to reason why, just accept the gift
Donna, Bette Middler said it well, even though she wasn't playing a true 'rose' Thanks for the thoughts.
Myrl, the impatiens and the mums just behind these roses are gone, but this hardy is still hanging on
Tony & Darcy, thanks for stopping
Now that it is officially Wednesday, .... I can stop back! Hope you find that day you lost Ed
Robert, what no comment on the flower?
So the old saying goes, "God gave us our memories so that we might have roses in December." But roses in November? What a thrill!
