Like many other areas in Montgomery County, home sales have slowed this year in Damascus. More specifically, the number of homes sold in May of 2007 declined 46.43 percent compared to last year. The median price of homes was down 8.73 percent, and the number of days on the market last month was 98 compared to 57 the year before.
The increase in the amount of inventory on the market has allowed buyers to be very picky this year - a sharp turnabout from recent years, when multiple contracts per listing was more the norm.
