I have posted earlier about a seminar that I am hosting on the Peninsula of San Francisco Bay, in Daly City, California, at the Land America Title Office on July 10th, 2007, and did some research on how I can take that seminar and expose it to not only the people that attend, but also to the masses.

San Francisco Bay Area First Time Homebuyers Seminar!

You Tube was the first thing that came to mind, and how to use it was the next concern.

When in doubt, search for the answer!

I went to the Active Rain search page and came across a step by step post by Nick M., at Aligning your You Tube Videos, left or right? which outlines how to take the video from You Tube, and embed it into my blog here on Active Rain.

GENIOUS!

Has this been done?  I looked through You Tube for the basic keywords, and really didn't find much of substance.  Some decent posts, but nothing out of the box!  I think this could be a great, different way to get in front of people, and let people FEEL what we feel about Real Estate.

Jana ColeMy partner in this seminar, Jana Cole, a new Active Rain member, and I will host this seminar on a monthly basis, and we will be able to convey our thoughts to the masses because of the internet, and Active Rain.  Every month we will repost the updated video, and as our content develops and improves, so will the effect on the community.

With posting on You Tube, Active Rain, Localism, and our websites, we are sure to reach out to every one that wants the helping hand.

The hardest thing about organizing a seminar is not the content, it is merely getting the attendance to make the venture profitable.  With exposure on the internet and Active Rain, the exposure becomes that much more likely, and therefore more profitable.

Looking forward to seeing this in action!  I would love to do something like this but haven't the faintest idea about You Tube yet.  I probably will set my 13 year old on research.  I think it's an excellent mechanism!

Honestly Chris, I thought it would be difficult to, but was able to test it on my website in about 5 minutes.  I couldn't believe how easy it was.  Read the post by Nick M. above, and give it a try.  As far as getting it on You Tube, you need to first take the video.  I am using a Canon MiniDV place.  This has a IE 1394 firewire port, which is the type of port that laptops will use in my cases.  I will do a post on how to get video off a camera onto a laptop at a later date.  Download the video to your computer/laptop, go to You Tube, and upload it directly to the site.  The site will give you the code to place in any HTML section, which will convert it properly for viewing.  Easier said than done, I know!  Come back, I should have the footage up on about the 15th of next month!

 Thanks Chris, come back anytime!

You and I think alot alike. Just as an FYI, your YouTube showings will show up on the California Real Estate Blog as well, when you integrate them into your AR blog!

I just added some client testimonials that people are enjoying on our mortgage website here...

The power of online video!

Awesome stuff :)

I was even working at the cigar shop. Many of these go there often. I know a few of them. 1 guy I use to work with and another guy who I have known in the mortgage industry for about a year now.4 or 5 others with various jobs. Mostly sales or owning their own business's since a few of them were even there when I got there, which was about 3:30 pm.
