Looking Forward in Salem, Oregon

As this year comes to an end I can't help but to be looking forward to next year. Home sales in Salem, Oregon are on the rise, and prices are down which allow our buyers and sellers the chance to move forward with their plans. We need to be diligent in our efforts to support the needs of our clients, and always looking to serve. While meeting with a colleague yesterday, I was reintroduced to the successes of a feel good story. An organization that he works for gives a percentage of all profits to a homeless shelter. Wow, talk about paying it forward.

During this upcoming year, it is my goal to find organizations that I can bless through my successes. In turn, I am sure that I my business will be blessed beyond measure. Be looking forward to the next year, and planning on how to make your area of the world a better place.

Jim-love this thought!!  I have been posting what I am thankful for most days on Facebook for about a week.  I have also been thinking about where I could "pay it forward" as you say.  My goal one day is to provide a Make a Wish Child with a "wish" every year, because my son was given a wish 10 years ago... and it changed all of our lives, and truly helped his recovery process....   You cannot even imagine how the Disneyworld wishes change peoples lives....  however, I am searching for something local for now. Would love to hear where you end up paying it forward.

Mel- Thank you for the comment. I have chosen a local organization named Family Building Blocks as one of my main focuses for the upcoming year. You can find more information about this organization here: http://www.familybuildingblocks.org/

Family Building Blocks is a private, nonprofit organization that works to break the intergenerational cycle of child abuse and neglect by providing services for high-risk families that have children six weeks to five years old. We are the Crisis Relief Nursery serving Marion & Polk Counties.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and have a blessed Holiday Season!

We love Family Building Blocks and all the great work they do - kudos to you for supporting their efforts.  This year rather than buying imprinted pens or notepads or giving gifts of things our business associates DONT need, we are making donations in their name to a Salem family homeless shelter - Salem Interfaith Hospitality Network.  I think it creates a wonderful way to support our community and say thanks!
