The Sloooooww Holiday Season

I don't know about you real estate agents, but this time of year gets sooo slow! Right now I think I have less than 10 scheduled inspections for this week and next.

I sure hope things pick up after Thanksgiving, and I hope all of you have a very happy one!

I'm thankful to say that I'm as busy as any other time this year.  Have a closing scheduled for tomorrow and three additional contracts that should all close before Christmas.  That kind of business for me is not the norm for the week before Thanksgiving, so I'll be extra thankful this year.

We have the same problem here in Atlantic Canada!  Most people put their homes on the market around late March and if they don't sell it by the time "old man winter" approaches they take it off the market.  Plus the holidays in November & December put home selling on hold.   The only differences are we have worse winters than you.  I know this since I lived in Saint Joseph, Michigan (or southwest Michigan by Lake Michigan) where we got lake affect snow.  Canada has much worse winters.  ;>))

It's just the opposite here in Hawaii.  November and December is when we see a lot of tourists.  And many of those tourists are buyers!
