Hybrid Blog--Advertising a Listing and a REquest for Critique

Before anyone shakes their finger--this ad is totally original. Not only that but I was cutting my teeth on some new software and new ideas. So, it took me hours to create. I have thought about hiring an assistant to do such tasks as this--but, I like doing it. Creativity is part of what makes a REal Estate vocation intriguing and worthwhile. The ad will look better in true print. So, if any of you have some gentle suggestions on how you would have improved this ad using Publisher 2007, I am open to suggestion. But, please don't ask me to buy new software.

Suzi, I think the only thing I'd consider changing is the font style that looks a bit like script... and that's only because some people may have a bit of difficulty reading it.  I love to be creative, too, but think it's best to keep things as clear & legible as possible.

Leanne, I feel like we're having coffee this morning. What you said is absolutely true. I don't know why I am addicted to script. I will overcome! Thanks for the ADvice

Regarding the script-style font, one of the reasons why I try not to use them (even though I love them) is because we must keep in mind that most people are pressed for time and only spend X number of seconds reading any ad, so the easier/more legible you can make it for them, the more of it they're likely to read.

I agree about the coffee.  It's nice to reconnect with you.  I'd been on 'hiatus' from AR for a few months.  I'm glad to read that it sounds like you're doing well.
