Thanks for the list and for noting which ones are actually free. Not all of them give you links to your website, but you can at least put your contact information there.

Thanks for the "Free" info Rebecca, the only one I do not agree is Zillow. I will not support people who are destroying our business with inaccurate information and also destroying people's homes values by giving wrong data to savvy people who find zillow to be the ultimate go to site..

Charles- Yes absolutely, these are links. Links are golden. Also they are sites that visitors can find you on, consumer visitors=business.

Chris- Fantastic. The sites with reviews are increasingly relevant and important to consumers. Consumers are now videotapping reviews and submitting them to these sites. I have checked on my local businesses here and found some niche sites too that consumers had written reviews on and the business, without a rep. management plan, had not responded:(

Katerina- So true and I do like the syndication that Point2 has. This is not really for listing syndication it is for local search for business services though you can put a link to your website on these sites that directs them to your listings.

Vickie- If you make one profile in google docs you can copy and paste and alter as per the needs of each of the online portals.

Cathy- If the time is an issue you can make a profile like I said above to Vickie in Google Docs and then have a virtual assistant work on it. You want each profile to be as complete as possible.

Russ- The really nice thing is that with RSS and ping.fm you can do "pop-bys" on various networks without being there live all the time and you can still respond by setting up email notifications. You then have time to concentrate on three to be active in.

Nancy- Fantastic- I did note that on some of these sites you have the ability to embed your reviews on your site. I have seen the hospitality industry do this and actually there is one motel in the Wisconsin dells area in Wisconsin that beats out all the big chains in reviews onTripAdvisor. It's crazy. I actually booked my stay at the motel for a few nights a year ago with my children based on the reviews and they proved worth their salt to me. Reviews can be priceless.

I've bookmarked your post for future implementation :) Also - I never noticed you're from Lake Geneva, WI - what a beautiful place- our family met at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa for a long weekend for my father-in laws birthday a few summers back - The golf is great and my brother in law ( who lives in Northbrook, IL ) has a friend with a big boat and the lake is awesome!

These sites are for your local presence- business profiles, etc, not just listings. The vendor I recommend for syndication is ClassifiedFlyerAds.com. Thank you for bookmarking.
