North Georgia | Blue Ridge Mountains | Light Up Blue Ridge | Christmas Celebration

'Tis the season...It's that time of year again and ho,ho,ho, oh,oh,oh what fun this is!!  Light Up Blue RidgeSanta and Mrs. Claus will make their entrance into town on our old fashioned train (Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad) and then make the rounds along the downtown streets of Blue Ridge in his sleigh pulled by beautiful reindeer.  This is an old fashioned, small town celebration that will warm your heart and make you tingle inside with excitement.  You can't help but catch the Christmas spirit.  Great family fun, come one, come all - everyone is welcome.  Food, music, decorations, photos, and shop owners will have their shops open so you can pick up a special gift or two!

Donna,  HOW FUN!  Thanks for sharing about your area.   Many years ago when we lived in Tampa, we spent the week between Christmas and New Years in Helen, GA.  What a beautiful part of the country.  Enjoy the day!!  ...geri

Geri:  I always feel like a kid again and these old fashioned Christmas celebrations with that small town ambience.  Helen Georgia is a beautiful place too.

What a nice way to wrap up the Thanksgiving Holiday. As a young Ranger I was stationed as an instructor in the Mountain Ranger Camp in Dahlonega so part of the world has special meaning.

Michael:  Love Dahlonega and that entire side of the North Georgia Mountains.  I spent many summers as a kid at a lake home on Lake Burton.  North Georgia's mountains are near and dear to my heart and Blue Ridge certainly is a special place too.

Hi Fred:  Great family fun and good eats always make for a wonderful time.  I will be sure to tell Santa you said hello.
