12 Comments on Do you realize how much 'DARK' we have?
Bill - It sounds like you have less daylight in that area than we have here right now. We get about 11 hours of daylight (roughly 7am to 6pm), maybe a bit less.
Jason...In the winter the farther north you get the less daylight, and in the summer it is the opposite. Just ask Jesse Clifton from Alaska...he will tell you. Have a good night!
Hi William!
I moved from Norway to Arizona 12 years ago. Just got fed up with the dark winters. At least out here the sun shines almost every day.
This is the good life!
I sure noticed the dark here in Central Oregon. It's light here from about 7-5, could be worse.
Isn't it amazing the effects of sunlight?? As for the sleeping, I'm good at it! The season doesn't matter! LOL
Terry, glad you enjoy it here
Kryste...That is abou the same here.
Laura...Good for you!!!
William,
I am thinking that the short days of winter is the major reason I am more of a summer kinda guy. Thank you sir for sharing your sunrise tho.
Bill, us farmers don't even have time for lunch with the daylight fading so fast.
The sunrise time in our area just went past my wake up time this weekend. It makes it harder to get up, for sure. And it's hard to get time to clean up my garden after work- too cold by the time I get home. Oh well, it wil go the other way in awhite.
Great picture.
My wife asked me to get her a "light box" for Christmas. She doesn't officially suffer from "SAD" but thinks this may help her to get through the long, long Winter months.
Bill, What a beautiful shot of the sunset. You are right...no time to do extra shores at night anymore.
We get more day light than that around here, but I have noticed that it's getting dark a little earlier now.
