Ladies and gentlemen, start your Snuggies

You'll need your going-out Snuggie for this weekend's "Snug 'n Chug," a charity pub crawl in which participants take to the streets in their Snuggies ("the blanket with sleeves!).

For kicks, you might want to dig out your BeDazzler ("the original stud and rhinestone setter!") even though the crawl begins at 4 p.m. Saturday, so technically it's not an after-5/rhinestone affair.

The Wicked Hop is coordinating the Snuggie pub crawl, which sends thirsty people to nine bars in and near the Historic Third Ward. Wearing a Snuggie gets pub crawlers $2 Lakefront beer taps or $3 Rehorst mixers. Donate a nonperishable food item at any of the bars on the crawl and get a raffle ticket for prizes.

Start your crawl at any of the following pubs: MJ's on Milwaukee, Club Charlies, Fanatics, the Irish Pub, Stir Milwaukee, Moct Bar, Fire on Water, Swingin' Door or the Wicked Hop.

Make sure you're at the Wicked Hop at 9 p.m. for the World's Largest Group Snuggie Hug.

Kristin, this is a very interesting event for charity. No doubt many of the pub users are used to CRAWLING out the door after a night of experiencing all the brews that made Milwaukee famous! ^_~

My daughters give Sharon a hard time for buying a snuggie, but she loves it! Holly would love one as well as she is soooooo thin!

Bruce, I am glad to say my hubby did NOT kill anything, only saw 1 deer last weekend, and ended up coming home early. I am surprised I don't have a snuggie for how cold I am always!

I am happy for you Kristin that the hunt turned out that way. I do like deer as well. Both my brothers hunt for deer; I have never cared to do so.

Although, it is a terrible thing for the herds to become overpopulated as many of them simply waste away for lack of forage. I remember making the drive into Brown County State Park(close to Indiana University) many years ago right before twilight and I counted 73 deer on the 1/2 mile drive back to the camping area. So many of them were so skinny and many I am sure never made it through the winter.

Maybe you can make you way down to the pubs tonight and "roll" one of the tipsy snuggie crawlers and obtain one for yourself!!! ^_^

Bruce....yes, the deer count was alot higher many years ago, and that must have been so horrible to see so many skinny/unhealthy deer. As far as the crawl, gonna stick close to Waukesha tonight...a few more trips to Sussex to check in on my twins kitty cats and I will be bushed!!
